Winners Announced - 2015 New York Design Awards

Winners of the 2015 New York Design Awards were today announced by design100 Founder Mark Bergin including the Best Studio less than 5 - Clouds Architectural Office, Best Studio 5 to 20 - Mucca Design, and Best Studio 20+ - HOK. Design Champion has been awarded to Elon Musk in recognition of the winning Tesla Power Wall and Model X projects and SpaceX Dragon.  66 winning projects (gold and silver) have also been awarded across the disciplines of Space, Object, Visual and Experience.

Selected winning projects are to be interviewed at the Design Summit [NYC] to be held at the South Street Seaport Culture District on Wednesday 2 December. The Design Summit will explore the projects across 4 themes - Design Courage, The Design Economy, Made for People and Future & Now and will be hosted by renowned Australian presenter Fenella Kernebone assisted by panel members and Mark Bergin.

Gold winners include - Keep it in the Ground, Film, Video, Viral - The Guardian, The Champagne Suite at The New York Palace Hotel, Interior Design Hospitality - The New York Palace Hotel/HOK, FLIR ONE, Product Design Personal Use - FLIR Systems Inc, Sephora - Custom Type, Graphic Design Illustration & Type - Sephora/Mucca, Microsoft Flagship Store - New York, Service Retail Experience - Microsoft USA, Leafs by Snoop, Graphic Design Corporate Identity & Branding -  Merry Jane/Pentagram, YouTube Space NY & Google BrandLab, Interior Design Corporate – Google/HLW International LLP, National September 11 Memorial Museum, Pop Ups, Display, Exhibit & Set Design - National September 11 Memorial Museum/Thinc Design and SpaceX Dragon, Product Design Technology - SpaceX.

Silver winners include - T2 Soho, Interior Design Retail – T2/Landini Associates, Wocket® Smart Wallet, Product Design Technology - NXT-ID, Post Secret Universe, Digital Experience Mobile – Harper Collins/Potion, Stoli Group USA, Interior Design Corporate – Stoli Group USA/Design Republic and Zazen Bear, Interior Design Retail – Zazen Bear/Sinfonia Group.

The official trophy presentation will be held as the final event of the summit next Wednesday. Mr Bergin thanked and commended Advisory Panel members for their ongoing support as ambassadors and curators in addition to their judging role.
